He joined the family business after his studies in the US were completed. The family business of Hussain al Nowais’ family started as a trading organization.

The family business was able to grow in manufacturing and distribution through his contribution. Before Hussain al Nowais started any partnerships, he was first an agent to the companies. The supply of electrical equipment to one of the government departments was one of his big opportunities.

Hussain al Nowais started acquiring failing companies with the skills he acquired as a businessman. Under his management the failing companies were able to make a profit and grow. He focused on the food business and started restructuring them and this is what made them successful. Recession-proof industries such as the food business is what attracted him to do acquisition in the food businesses.

Hussain al Nowais was able to turn the failing businesses into successful businesses by putting in place a qualified management team and setting up the infrastructure of the business. Through improved IT systems, the businesses became successful. Hard work and new ideas also contributed to the success the failing businesses.

It also took a lot of dedication and commitment to see results on the businesses that they were working on. As time went by, Hussain al Nowais established a manufacturing food company which had many employees. His contribution to the UAE are his proposals to improve business practices in investment opportunities when trading.

Hussain al Nowais enjoys growing companies because he likes the challenge of turning failing companies around. Due to the interactions with different nationalities as he works in the UAE he’s able to appreciate culture better. Hussain al Nowais enjoys family time and he does this when he has time off work.

He also likes to read a lot and has a huge library in his house. One of his favourite things to do is to travel and relax. Hussain al Nowais likes to challenge his children to keep growing in the activities that they do.
